I just love meeting new babies who I didn't have a chance to capture them as a newborn, (and of course those who I did) when they are sitting up and in that rolley polley goodness for their mid-year session! Baby Photography is truly best captured at these timelines: newborn photography ( first 7-21 days of birth) then 3 months ( if you MISSED a newborn window) and then again between 6-9 months. You really want to wait until your little one is are sitting up, that is why I typically schedule these sessions around 7 1/2 -8 months. If you do the session a bit earlier closer to the 6 months before they are sitting up, it can limit us a bit with posing- things that can make a worlds difference in the simplest of poses! I also only capture babies 1 year and under in studio. I find that the most successful sessions are in studio since we do not have to plan around sunset/sunrise hours but mid morning/early afternoon when babies are typically happiest, much more comfy and cozy for them then being outdoors and the obvious, less distracting!! Sharing some highlights from this cuties session, enjoy!! - M
