This family photography session was great! If I told you what happened right before this family photoshoot, you might appreciate even more how great it went. Here in Los Angeles and Orange County we have had a HOT and HUMID last month, which has caused for an abnormal amount of mosquitoes. One of my locations I love just a mile south of Long Beach here in Orange County for Family Photography has had a terrible mosquito problem, that only has gotten worse. Upon arriving to the location, mosquitoes started landing on my clients within just a minute of being out of their car, while at the same time leaving was another photographer suggesting we re-locate sharing  how bad she had been bit during her session. So, that is exactly what we did- we left. Not worth the risk after reading these new articles coming out about these aggressive biting mosquitoes, carrying diseases here in OC and LA. So here we are, an hour left before sunset and Ive got to think of a place close by to get some non-beach pictures ( which if you are a Long Beach local- you know those are sparse) so I made the executive decision and drove us to a place called the " Green Belt" in Belmont Heights. Driving by this spot you would think its just a wide dirt alley, nothing you would ever feel the want to have a photoshoot there. I know my clients were nervous, it didn't look like much, and looked actually pretty terrible, but they trusted me ( thankfully) and we got some fantastic pictures! Of course I was working with such limited space, behing hedges in side yards of homes, searching for any little 4 foot radius I could frame to look like we were not where we were,  This was a great challenge, kept me on my toes, and so happy they were so willing! I was so thrilled with how it all turned out- really looked like a natural, yet modern family photography session.
