About Your Mentor

Ive had my own studio for 14 years and have been a full-time photographer for over 16 years. I’ve seen trends come and go, and the truth is—success in this industry isn’t about following every wave, it’s about knowing how to evolve while staying true to yourself.

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to photography, but I’ll share what has worked for me, what has kept me inspired, and how I’ve built a business that is both profitable and fulfilling.

One of the biggest challenges as a photographer isn’t just mastering your camera—it’s staying inspired and productive as a business owner in an already saturated market. It’s easy to feel like you're constantly chasing trends or struggling to balance artistic fulfillment with profitability.

WHAT TO EXPECT

📅 Day One – Posing + Styling, Creative Processes + Real Talk, and Getting into some Sessions together

We’ll start the day with a deep dive into lighting, posing + styling, and refining your eye for detail and an honest conversation about how the industry is shifting—and how I’ve adapted to stay inspired and successful.

Then, we’ll move into a real-time studio session, exactly as I would run it ( and how to gather behind the scenes clips during a session), so you can see my workflow in action. After lunch, we’ll do a second hands-on session with opportunities for shooting and refining your approach.

🌿 Day Two – Outdoor Sessions + Business & Balance

We will meet in the studio one last time for a discussion over marketing + social media before heading outdoors to shoot a maternity session together focusing on things taught the day before. During this time we will talk about working with natural light in a way that feels effortless all while working a session together before we wrap up.

We’ll end the day with an optional group dinner, where we can continue the conversation in a more relaxed setting.

*In addition to the workshop, each attendant will have a 40-minute, one-on-one follow-up call with me a month later to recap what was learned and where I can offer specific insight into helping you grow as a photographer.*
